I know the pieces fit 'cause I watched them fall away and I've done the math enuf to know the danger's of a second guessing.

MBTA not up to the mark

2 Hours. Yes it took me about 2 hours to reach home from work today. Thanks to the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) which experiences disruption in service every now-and-then without any reason. Traffic delays everyday during peak hours especially during the 8-9 am heavyduty commute.
T prices which are currently $1.25 would again be raised by 25 % in Jan 07. But what do we get for the buck 25? Overcrowded, inefficient, unreliable experience. Sitting in the crowded compartment in the tunnel between stations, Delay due to switch problems, Train taken out of service without any prior notice have become a usual scene.
I wonder how would they handle if it were something like in Mumbai. Sigh, they'd go nuts. And they wonder why people are leaving Boston fleeing left and right?
Chicago El and NY/NJ Transit are way better than this.

Oh man that sucks!! the NYC MTA has it's own share of problems too....but maybe Boston needs to crank up on the efficiency big time.

@ Amrita - Yeah I've travelled in NYC MTA, not much though, but still MBTA out here sux big time. Sometimes it gets on your nerves you wanna reach home as soon as possible and the delay every now and then, sigh.
