The famous dabbawalas of Mumbai are getting near of becoming a techno savvy businessman. After the successful launch of their web-site Mydabbawala.com , they are getting into the Cell phones launching an SMS service recently for customers who need to order their service via text message. I didnt know that they have a web-site of their own, until now.
Their precise and system of delivering hot home-cooked meals over 2 lakh office-goers in Mumbai has drawn praise from all over the world including Bschools who wanna study their system and their mode of operation. Oh yeah dont be surprised if you see students from Harvard or them IIMs working behind understanding the concept. Much like the did in trying to understand Laloo Prasad...

those guys are amazing, they have something like 1 wrong delivery in 10 million or some such rate. shows you what having real people in the system does for you rather than the western less number of people more machines concept
