Ten Years: 1980 -1990 ... Amazing 10 years they were. Grew up as a kid and had as much fun as one could have - aah childhood days. Came across these few advertisements fromj ther 80s. Cool ones you would remember them 'cause they were so popular - you'd have seen them on TV or any of them comic books :D

Poppins, Eclairs,Maggi,Amul,Omega Geometry box and Rasna to name a few.

And also, remember the Sunday mornings/afternoons with all the nice TV shows? And all the commercials in between? Rasna had that guy chugging a pitcher!

Parle Poppins" Maggi - "Mummi 2 minute" and then Ramayana with its "kintu" "paranthu" usage ... omg you name it remember them all :D

@ RPM - Very true. Poppins, Eclairs and AMUL Chocolates were 'the' toffees ;-) those days. Still remember having Poppins last time I visited India ... lol. The Rasna ads were cool and so were the rest shown in between the "Freakout Sunday" CARTOON shows and other programs like "Guiness World Records etc..etc."

The Orange flavor was the best and so were the collectibles that used to come with Rasna :D
