I know the pieces fit 'cause I watched them fall away and I've done the math enuf to know the danger's of a second guessing.

How to get rid of Rains

If you are from the Asian subcontinent, you'd know what a Monsoon is and what a rainy season actually means. Nothing much happens in this part of the world (except S. America); of course Hurricanes create havoc in the southern part of the States, its nothing as compared to the former.

So, as many of you know, Beiging is hosting the next Olympics (2008). Events are scheduled to begin on Aug 8th and per Chinese officials, there's a 50% chance of rain playing spoil spot during the opening ceremony and a 50% chance of rains during the closing ceremony. So what to do ?

Well, they're trying to get rid of the rains by sending out rockets into the atmosphere. You heard it right - send out rockets to disperse rain clouds - isn't that nice ;-). The only problem they are having right now is that there are fewer rain-clouds this year to test these rockets out.

I just have one thing to say - don't mess with the rain gods :)

@ toothless wonder - Amen to that. I love rains too (the kind that happens in Kerala, not the one that happens in Mumbai/Delhi and likes)...well Chinese folks are known for conducting these kinda experiments.

Thanks for the compliment :)

So in the future ICC will be buying huge amounts of Chinese rockets to hold of rain and India will be buying US rockets to shoot down the Chinese ones - the rain is the only thing that will save us.

@ mosilager - hmm ... the Indian rockets worked this time. ICC rockets didn't fire and here we are - 1st test match ended in a draw !! :P
